The Center for Creative Studies project was a campus renovation and expansion project where the Project Manager and Project Engineer were involved in all of the design, budget, schedule, construction and implementation aspects of the decision making process with the owner and design professionals. As the Design Builder of that project I had to accommodate numerous utility relocations, expansions and removals which allowed the new 6 story technological facility “The Walter B. Ford II Building” to be constructed along with the new 4 story 650 car pre-cast parking deck. After the construction commenced the Project Manager and Project Engineer put in place the implementation plan which allowed this facility to be occupied after just 20 months of construction through two Michigan winters. These two individuals also developed the $70,000,000.00 campus renovation program which will take place over the next ten years. The Center for Creative Studies is a non profit school which specializes in automotive designing. Since moving to Colorado I have been back to check on the progress, and the school is very happy with the master planning I have done. They have now completed two historical home renovations project that house their administration functions. |
