Office Buildings
 Flint Ink, Ann Arbor, Michigan
(Renovation/Addition)

Construction Cost $30,000,000.00

The CMHP team of the Project Manager (Douglas R. Kopel) the Vice President of Colorado Mountain Home Properties, LLC (CMHP) and the Project Engineer (Donovan Nolan) also completed the Flint Ink World Headquarters facility. The 88,605-square foot expansion five story structure to the existing 50,000-square-foot facility is contained in “an interesting collage of buildings”, rather than a single structure. The structures are structural steel frames resting upon cast-in-place structural concrete on H-Piles driven into the bedrock more the 100 feet deep in the ground. Linked together, the two new 5 story additions and the existing building form a triangle without a base. This triangular form and the red entryways are a perfect expression of Flint Ink’s corporate logo, which is a red arrowhead. The stairways are metal pan with concrete infill lined with a decorative metal railing system. This project was apart of the CAM MAGAZINE ISSUE 2000 and won several awards when it was completed in late 1999. The construction of this magnificent facility was complete in 18 months. The team put more than $14,000,000.00 dollars of construction materials in place in the last seven months of construction.
